I am so lost.
January is here (and rapidly disappearing) and i have no definite T****S topic yet. Fear of another sem in college doesn't seem to work that well as an inspiration
.
Hirap kapag nagkatagpo ang perfectionist na hectic na prof at perfectionist na tinatamad na estudyante. Walang nangyayari.
But then again, its mostly my fault.
Hay.

I should not give in to laziness, complacency, distractions, procastination, etc, etc... the list goes on and on.
Sadly, i often do.
Change is taking its own sweet time to happen.
But I hope it will.
I know it will.

A PRAYER
Lord, sorry for inadvertently wanting only the easy, comfortable and fun things in life. Thanks you that you refused to give them to me last year...and instead taught me the value of waiting, sacrifice and trials. May I apply these lessons well in this new year.

And Lord... help.

...BUT UP

I'm beginning to see a glimmer of hope in my quest for that elusive diploma. my thesis topic got approved! at laaaaassst! of course my persnickety prof still wanted me to tweak and reword the problem statement a bit, but hey, at least may direction na ang buhay ko. *cartwheels*.

in my thesis class, nine had just gotten their topics approved this month, and only one has progressed beyond chapter 2. i'm not justifying my procrastination, just pointing out that i am not alone. hay.

despite the torture he's putting me through, i am grateful to my prof. sir villar is NOT paid to handle our class (budget cut, tsktsk) and he is overloaded this sem. yet he has the patience to endure half-baked proposals and constant grilling by graduate-desperadoes. teaching in UP is like non-profit volunteer work which should include hazard pay. however, he is one of the reasons why i'm thinking of "giving back" to my alma mater by teaching there one day.

ok, topic down, a hundred other things to go. *deep breath*

the return of 1/3 of the UHC with piyaya, kalamay-hati, pictures and a tape

the discovery that i have some sense of direction after all

2 sped-read pocketbooks: Cyclops and Angels and Demons

a surprise LCM discussion over dinner with my "bes"

walking along UP diliman in the gloaming (twilight) and chatting with a much-missed friend

a divisoria raid with a friend from a faraway place...an example of the blind leading the blind, through the muck and mire of a rainy marketplace

two Cell group meetings na talagang pinatamaan ako ni Lord.

a 2-hour conversation with a fellow leader and KCmate over the phone

Utter panic.
Three thesis chapters and a practicum folder due NEXT WEEK.
How did this happen?
waaaaaaaahhh.

sleeping and eating has just become optional.
dito ko napapatunayan na procastination has its side-effect. Lunacy.

FEEL-GOOD DAY

yesterday was, surprisingly enough, one of those feel-good days.

i started the day off on the wrong foot; sleeplessness plus public transpo equals to nausea. arg. thankfully, i had a classmate to accompany me to get "evidence" that we did our practicum in makati.

lunchtym brought a free eat-all-you-can buffet, with my mom, brother and a UHC member (who shall remain unnamed, kasi nahihiya daw cya, hehe). a full stomach definitely improved my mood.

then off we went to diliman (thank God for the MRT!) where the last 2/3 of the UHC met us. they were tempting me to stay longer, since i was just planning to do some research and then go back to manila asap for our Big Fellowship. hmm, anlakas nilang magdasal ah, i only finished photocopying at 4:30 pm...way past the 4pm start of our activity.

the delay was a blessing in disguise, since we were able to spend a rare afternoon eating isaw while watching falling leaves, walking along acacia-lined roads, discussing LCM and crushes, singing while lying down in the sunken garden, gazing at a blue-orange-purple-starry sky, singing the psalm 8 song, learning the coke song to sing for a special friend's bday, and watching her joy when we did finally sing this, in harmony:

ended the day with an impromptu pre-birthday studio pix, moon-gazing at the MRT and a safe, solitary jeepney ride home.
